Pathways to Wellness, at The Hilton Naples

FREESurvive & Thrive presents Pathways to Wellness, a free event that focuses on wellness and deeper healing for everyone that’s been affected by cancer.
Survive & Thrive is excited to present its message of wellness and healing with Pathways to Wellness, at The Hilton Naples on October 28, 2017,from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration and check-in is from 8 a.m. to 8:45. Whether you’re a patient or a survivor, friends and family or a medical professional, the message of wellness and healing will resonate with you.
This interactive, information-filled free event will include:
- Keynote speaker: Oncologist James C. Salwitz, MD discusses Survivorship and the importance of emotional/ mental care after cancer treatment.
- Yoga for cancer classes: Wendy Campbell E-RYT, Y4C will lead yoga classes for survivors, families and caregivers.
- Experiential Group Therapeutic Process: Clinical psychologist Meredith Franke Psy.D., P.A. will facilitate a group process to promote growth and intimacy in relationships for those touched by cancer.
- Practical Tools: Holistic doctor, Brian Thornburg, DO, will talk about the link between gut health and cancer and provide practical recommendations for boosting immunity. Clinical acupressure practitioner, Sue Lovett Healing Arts Practitioner, will provide demonstrations accessing pressure points to relieve physical and emotional pain.
- Vendor Tables: Several local businesses have been chosen for their commitment to support wellness in our community. They will be offering information and demonstrations before, during and after programs.
- Sound Healing: Closing group meditation including healing sound therapy of singing bowls.
